Reading about her life brings back so many memories for me - both from my patients over the years and in my own family's experiences with bringing babies into the world. Birth is an amazing and powerful bookmark to life. Yet, even when there are tragedies there is potential for profound healing.
Healing that comes from tragedy sometimes sounds like a trite greeting card - appreciating what we have, since you never know what will happen tomorrow, etc. etc. - but the depth and beauty of living in the present moment merely sounds like a cliche until it is experienced.
