My cat Binks died yesterday afternoon. It was sudden and unexpected. He was clearly sick Thursday night, but when I got up Friday morning, he was actively dying. We rushed him to the vet and put him on oxygen and IV therapy, but it was too late.

My good friends Maureen and Pat were so supportive and sweet to me. They understood my shock and grief and were there for me. The folks at the vet were so compassionate - they treated both he and I with dignity and respect.

I plan to make a memory page for Binks so I can write down what happened and my memories of him, and have it to look back on. Right now, though, all I can feel is that I don't want him to be dead. I miss my baby Binks.
