I really don't like poetry - there is nothing that will make my eye glaze over quicker than having a poem thrust in my face. There are exceptions, of course, poetry has the potential to bring a mythic quality, a way to brush closer to Truth than talking about spiritual concepts.

This poetry is remarkable - Poetic Soul - it has such a clear, strong voice. I love reading this, mostly because I can hear the voices of the people of the poems.

I illustrated some poetry for a local artist once and we were both very happy with the results. Trouble was, I couldn't relate to the authors voice, so the calligraphy and drawings wouldn't flow, and after a couple of pieces, I stopped working with him. I might have to try again! ;)
