I have to keep repeating to myself - Isis is not my cat, Isis is not my cat, Isis is not my baby - er, I mean - cat! I'm supposed to be babysitting this kitten, but I've definately become her mother as we've learned to use the kitty litter, play with a bunch of feathers on a plastic rod, get along with the other pets in the house, and figure out how to get enough nutrition into her tiny tummy.

She's gone from being rather lethargic and very quiet, to being the life of the party! When she arrived, she wasn't at all interested in being held or pet, but now the reason she doesn't want to be held very much is because she's so busy exploring! She loves to play with her toys, or go check out something, then dash back to hide behind me for safety. She gets worn out after awhile and falls asleep sprawled out on my chest in the crook of my arm. Frequent naps are good for both baby and mom, though!

I need to get some pictures taken of her - she's exceedingly cute! She has green eyes and is mostly black, with white on her chest, belly, feet, and face. I've always wanted a pair of Siamese or Abysiann kittens, but I'm going to have to plan on taking a two week vacation when I do. This being mother to an infant again is hard work!
