This is a collage of found materials and some hand drawn lines, with layout inspiration mostly from Yen of Shinkasen (and my own main pages, they're hand made too). The small fan motif is a water color done by Katsushika Hokisai around the turn of the last century. I've collected textures and clip art for ages, and I am 100% sure that all of these are free for non-comercial use. Some textures are from Eos Development - they have a fabulous selection of freebie graphics! The coding was done from a blank sheet of NoteTab light, so please don't try to validate it - I'm not quite there yet! Inspiration abounds for reading tutorials, being encouraged to try this myself, and from seeing outstanding work in my virtual travels - thanks to all!
When I made my first book of quotes with magazine clippings, photos, and hand written quotes, it led me to do a blank book all by hand with calligraphy and my own art work. From there, I wanted to make my own paper and bind it myself to be even more "from scratch". Eventually, I want to make a set for this page totally from scratch too - I'm getting there! :)
