First came the news that my job is changing dramatically - and that I'd have to spend a week in Miami to be trained. Not fun, but we made the best of it. Matt and I took the train down, and that was really fun. There were places to eat close by, and a Barnes&Noble where I found a complete set of the special Lord of the Rings bookmarks! I had been looking for these, but couldn't find them.
Next was trying to catch up plus do a major presentation at work! I wound up putting in major time to get all that accomplished. More no fun.
Then the hard part. Robin, my sweetheart cat that I've had since she was a kitten nearly 17 years ago, was diagnosed with cancer. She died on the 21st. It was a good hospice death, which I'm grateful for. I'll make a memory page for her like I made for Binks to talk more about her and preserve my memories of her life. I really miss her.
