I want to announce that on June 30th, 2003, Cloud 9 will close it's doors. It's been 3 years now, and a fun experiment, but it's time to move on. I spent a great many hours on content and graphics for Luminous and here and am proud of how much original work I created. The pages had a few regular visitors, and I do thank all of you who visited - I hope you enjoyed the material.

It's odd how things come and go - I can't really put my finger on why I got so involved, and now am moving on to other things - I'm not fed up or disgruntled with the computer. I think I could have spent my time better when I got rather immersed in design and researching; but I can't say it was a waste, either. I guess I just learned what I needed to learn, even though I'm not all that clear what it was.

At any rate, while my little corner of the internet made a very tiny little plish in the grand ocean of bits and bytes, and will only be missed by a small handful of folks, it was fun to be part of what has certainly become a cultural phenomenon - and kind of leading edge at that! I've copied Luminous onto a CDR so I can revisit it from time to time, and since I was never completely comfortable on-line journaling, maybe a paper journal and sketch book is what needs to be dusted off and brought back.

If there are any files you want to copy, be sure to do that now - feel free to use the graphics and other materials if you like (I've already deleated the personal stuff, that would have been off limits anyway) just please remember to respect any copyrights held by others (I can't transfer permissions, you'd have to get them anew).

It's been fun - Thanks! :)

Namaste
