I just finished reading "Who Wrote the Bible" by Richard Elliott Friedman. What an eye opener! I have always been so frustrated by the contradictions and inconsistencies in the Bible that I just have never appreciated it. When I read parts of the Bible, I'll get very excited about a concept or idea that makes sense or is wonderful from a literary standpoint, but when I continued to read, it seemed like the next part would directly conflict with what I'd just read! I just didn't know what to do with that problem.Who Wrote the Bible

This book brings hundreds of years of Biblical scholarship to light, explaining how the Bible was written and put together. This I can get my arms around! I'm looking forward to reading the Bible again with new eyes.
